The two sides will be competing for the Cricket Shepparton Lower-grade T20 premiership at Frank Howley Oval this weekend.
The short-form tournament had the four victors from round one, played on December 5, advance to the semi-finals on December 12.
Across those next two do-or-die matches, Tatura saw off Karramomus to qualify for the grand final, while Katandra outplayed Central Park-St Brendan’s to book the remaining spot in the Lower-grade decider.
One month after their semi-final heroics, the two sides are ready to duel it out for the crown.
Katandra boasts some serious batting force with master-blaster Shaun Candy ranked third in the competition for runs scored (72).
The Eagles also have the ever-classy Jack Nelson — who has the second-best average in the tournament with 56 — at their disposal in the middle-order.
David Marsters has been Katandra’s premier strike bowler across the previous two matches, securing six wickets at an average of 5.83 to lead the tournament.
However, the Eagles face an uphill battle to overcome host Tatura.
The home side has impressed across the first two matches and will be confident heading into Sunday’s fixture.
Tatura is dangerous on the bowling front with Lachlan Thurston (five wickets at an average of 9.4) and Lachlan Cook (four at 3.5) ranked in the tournament's top five bowlers.
The host also has the competition’s top run scorer in its ranks.
Young gun Tyson Webb has struck 76 runs across his two innings.
Webb will surely see himself rise up Tatura’s batting order given his knocks of 37 and 39 came at number 10 and number six, respectively.
The Lower-grade T20 final will start at 11am on Sunday.
