Third-ranked Shepparton East kicked 41 goals in a 253-point win against Violet Town, Murchison-Toolamba full forward James Lloyd took his season tally to 88 goals with a bag of 19 (from a team total of 30.12 (192)) as his side bested bottom-ranked Undera by 161 points and Lancaster kicked 26 goals as it defeated Girgarre by 120 points.
Lancaster's eighth win of the season, it also has a draw with Murchison-Toolamba, has it sitting second on the ladder with four of the top six teams on its schedule to finish the season.
Zac Cerrone was again the show-stopper, following up his 10-goal haul a week ago against Violet Town with another eight goals (38 for the season).
Lancaster kicked six goals in the first quarter and led by 29 points. That margin extended to 55 at half time, then nine third-quarter majors saw the gap blow out to 84 points at the final change.
All but one of Girgarre's seven goals came from two players, two-time Lancaster reserve grade premiership star Steve Phillips kicking four of Girgarre's seven goals.
Phillps joined the Kangaroos this season and now has 16 goals from eight games.
Ethan Palma-Ludeman kicked two goals and has 12 for the season.
Sam Vick played the support role to Cerrone, kicking five goals from half forward.
Coach Tom Davies said Vick applied great pressure when the footy hit the ground and was rewarded with his goals.
"He has spent a bit of time down back this year, but will play mostly half forward for the rest of the season," he said.
Teenage sensation Declan Hammett had another great game, kicking four goals by leading strongly and looks to have settled at senior level
Tim Strapp returned to senior football after injuring his knee in round one. He played his first game back in the reserves a week earlier.
Paul Newman kicked three goals as the Wombats deepest forward and caption Charlie McLay alternated with Newman out of the square.
McLay also kicked three goals (33 for the season) and hasn't missed a beat all campaign.
Nick Ryan, Phil Carroll, Morrie Serra and Lachlan Boscarini should all be available for the Wombats’ big game against Avenel following the general bye on July 6.
Tommy Withall played his first game at senior level, starting on a wing before moving to half back in the second half.
"He took a couple of nice interception marks and used the footy well by foot," Davies said.
Lancaster has 11th-ranked Dookie United this weekend as it continues to set up for a crack at a third successive KDL senior football premiership.
