A stalwart of the Goulburn Valley community for decades, Ken Keating is celebrating 40 years of sponsoring junior football in the local area.
He founded Keating Freight Lines in 1982 and immediately threw his support behind the then Shepparton District Junior Football League.
Keating continued his support of junior football through the turbulence of the COVID-19 pandemic and is a proud partner of the newly formed Goulburn Murray Junior League.
In honour of Keating’s contributions and investment in junior football in the region, round four of the Goulburn Murray Junior League has been dubbed Keating Round.
“Without the long-standing support of Ken, the junior community football space would not be as thriving as it is today,” AFL Goulburn Murray Junior operations manager Emma O’Shaughnessy said.
“Ken Keating has shown incredible support for junior football, and shows great community values for sport in the region.
“The Goulburn Murray Junior League thanks Ken Keating for his support, sponsorship, and investment in junior football for the past 40 years.”
