The Our Sporting Future Grant Program has opened up for applications, with entries being accepted until 5pm on Friday, November 29.
Round two of the Our Sporting Future initiative will allow community clubs to apply under one of five potential streams.
Firstly, the Minor stream permits grants of up to $15,000 for projects in which the council matches the club’s financial commitment to funding.
In a similar vein, the Major stream will also match a club’s project funding dollar for dollar, with a minimum value of $15,000 and a ceiling of $30,000, making it the most potentially lucrative channel.
The Sports Aid category is a straight contribution of anywhere from $500 to $5000, geared towards supporting emerging clubs or initiatives which provide for untapped groups of potential participants.
The widest funding range comes in the Women and Girls stream, aiming to promote on-field leadership and off-field support roles for female participants with grants of between $500 and $10,000 available.
Finally, the fairly self-explanatory Junior and Youth Participation option aims to restore more underage engagement where those numbers have dropped off; clubs can receive between $500 and $5000 for this purpose.
