Kyabram Football Netball Club president Peter Learmouth said the two-year deal would see the recreation reserve renamed as the Goulburn Valley Creamery Oval.
“Its great to confirm that Goulburn Valley Creamery are on board with the club, and supporting us in such a big and visible way,” Learmouth said.
“The commitment being shown by the Creamery is wonderful.
“They are a big employer in town, and its great to have them on board.”
Learmonth said the sponsorship meant a great deal to the club.
“Without this kind of financial support, it makes running our club that much more challenging for the committee and our members,” he said.
He said the deal helped strengthen the club in the long term.
Richmond Football Club Legend Matthew “Richo” Richardson was also in attendance for the club’s historic day, running a holiday football clinic for the Kyabram juniors.
Goulburn Valley Creamery chief executive officer Mancel Hickey said he was pleased and proud the company was partnering with the club.
“Many of our local team are involved in the Kyabram Football Netball Club, either as players, volunteers, spectators or with family connections,” Hickey said.
Goulburn Valley has a new state-of-the-art facility based in Kyabram that employs 80 local and regional team members.
“As a company, we say we are committed to the region, so it is important that we play our part to help keep the things that bind our community together thriving,” Hickey said.
“It is essential to us to build strong relationships across all elements of our business. Including for the broader communities in which we operate.
“We are happy to be part of the club and look forward to its ongoing success.”
Kyabram will debut the newly named Goulburn Valley Creamery Oval this Good Friday against Rochester with the first bounce at 6.45pm.
