It was the perfect evening for AFL stars of past and present, Shane Crawford and Jy Simpkin, as they came to Cobram to train with the Cobram Football Club’s under-14 and under-17 teams.

Both Crawford and Simpkin, along with Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell, put the young players through their paces.
Asked after training what makes a good football player, Crawford said it was all about attitude.
“A good footy player is not someone who's got a lot of talent but someone who's prepared to do the work... Someone who’s prepared to live and breathe what they do,” he said.
