In Sunday’s Goulburn Murray Junior League action Shepp Notre Bears Gold stamped its pass to the under-16 division one grand final, avenging its 2023 preliminary exit by a point to eventual premier Mooroopna.
Gold trumped Tatura 10.16 (76) to 9.8 (62) and, to no surprises, a usual suspect was at the heart of the destruction.
Riley Myers, who kicked 10 goals in round eight and nine in round nine, chimed in with five more against the Bulldogs to be named in his side’s best alongside Cody Montgomery and Jack Supple.
For Tatura, Tanz Dellar also booted a bag of five in Sunday’s loss, meaning the Bulldogs do still have a second shot at scanning a grand final ticket.
They’ll face Kyabram in this Sunday’s preliminary bout at Euroa after the Bombers ended Shepp Notre Bears Maroon’s season in the earlier fixture.
Kyabram accounted for the Maroons with relative ease, scoring an 11.10 (76) to 5.8 (38) result.
News photographer Rechelle Zammit was in attendance for the Tatura-Gold match.
