Kathy Bell won the Woman’s A Grade with 35 points. Runnerup was Rhonda Cox with 34 points also after the countback. Lyn Berry took B Grade honors with 36 points while Jenny Todd back after a spell cleaned up in C Grade with the best round of the day with 37 points. Bev McLay was runnerup on 36 points. Ball winners were Sharon Crompton, Heather Sleeth, Mary Elliott, Trudie Plumb, Phil Plumb, Michael Turnbull, David Kuiper, Les Mitchell, Sam Skilling, Mick Crompton, Russell McLay and Ray Coleman. Nearest the pins went to Kathy Bell on the 9th while the 18th was Dennis Ryan. Kyle Kydd was nearest on the 1st.
Ed McQuienn was one of the outstanding golfers for Wednesday golf. Ed carded 37 points to win A Grade while Peter Barrette was runnerup on 37 points. High scores were the order of the day with Phil Currey winning B Grade with 37 points. Another better than average was Andrew Phillips winning C Grade with 38 points. Runnerup was Ron Pope on 37 points. Luca Campanelli was third with 35 points. Nearest the pins went to Tom McConchie on the 1st, Phil Currey collected the voucher from Ky Pizza and Pasta on the 9th while Fred Roberts was nearest on the 15th for the voucher from Clive Coventry Funerals. David Blake was nearest on the 18th for the voucher from Kyabram Main Street Butchery. Ball winners were Jason McKenzie, Vin Sleeth, Sam Skilling, Barry Weaver, John Thompson and Tony Potts.
Friday’s come and try night and nine hole event was a huge success with 39 players turning out. The winner of the nine hole event was Geoff Berry with a net 24. Friday golf will be on again this week hitting off from 4pm.
BINGO; Well it finally happened with the jackpot going off at $1,400. This week it will revert back to $400 in 50 calls. The Star Flyer last week was worth $263. The Big Bucks game paid out $292.
