Since crossing to Lancaster from GVL club Kyabram Alyssa Trebilcock has worked well in the goaling circle with Chicquita Vick and Lexi Thomas.

The Wombats led by one at quarter time after star goaler Chicquita Vick spent the first quarter on the sidelines. She came onto the court after the first break and the top team eventually won 42-38.
Just two goals separated Lancaster and the fifth-ranked Dookie team at half time, before Vick shot nine of her 23 goals in the third term and Lancaster led by six at three quarter time.
Prior to this result the closest anyone had come to Lancaster was five when 115 goals were scored in its match against Nagambie.
The wins comes after a 24-goal win against third ranked Girgarre, a 10-goal win against aspiring finalist Violet Town and a 50-goal win against Longwood.
Vick worked in tandem with Lexi Thomas and Alyssa Trebilcock, with the Wombats fielding a squad of just eight for the game - Millie Hill, Jadeja Davies and Taya Hayes not involved in the game.
The Wombats machine continues to roll on under the guidance of Michelle Hill, but it has a few testing weeks ahead against seventh-ranked Avenel (desperate to win a spot back in the top six), fourth-ranked Nagambie and second-placed Shepparton East - in the final round of the season.
Key defender Phillipa Inglis spent the final quarter of the game in the centre, Zoe Hayes moving into the defensive role alongside Charli Westerveld.
Lancaster C grade is finals bound if it can maintain its current momentum, sitting fifth on the ladder, but is involved in a four way battle for that last finals spot with - among others - the team it by four goals to on Saturday.
At Under 17 level the Wombats are only one game outside the top six, the same position they occupy in the Under 13 competition.
It is more than a decade since 2024 Lancaster A grade coach Michelle Hill (circa 2011) won the Kyabram disrict league’s A grade best and fairest, the Warren Medal. Her team remains unbeaten this year.

– Stanhope had its worst result of the season against a rampaging Nagambie team, losing by 46 goals to now sit eighth on the ladder.
After winning by 69 goals a week earlier against bottom team Rushworth the Stanhope team has been left a game behind sixth-ranked Violet Town - which it beat only three weeks ago by two goals.
They lost the game to the fourth-ranked Nagambie team 19-65, by far its worst result of the year. They are yet to claim a win against a top five team - losing in round one to Lancaster by 11, to third-ranked Girgarre a week later by 10, to fifth-ranked Dookie by 17 and to second-ranked Shepparton East by 19.
The Lions face three teams outside the top six - Merrigum (10th), Longwood (13th) and Murchison-Toolamba (11th on the ladder, who they play twice in four weeks) in a winnable stretch of games before a tough end to its season, against unbeaten ladder-leader Lancaster and third-ranked Girgarre.
Stanhope C grade is the club’s best performed team so far this season, sitting second with a 9-1 win/loss record, while C Reserve is just outside the top six on percentage.
Stanhope’s junior teams are all competitive, sitting sixth (Under 13), fourth (Under 15) and fifth (Under 17).
– Girgarre returned to the winner’s list after suffering its first loss since round three last week against top team Lancaster.
A low scoring affair against sixth-ranked Violet Town saw the team win 37-14, both teams defensive units dominant in the slippery conditions that greeted players on a dreary winter’s afternoon.
Girgarre is two games clear in third place on the ladder and has in form Dookie United this weekend before facing seventh-ranked Avenel the following week.
From that point, however, the Kangaroos don’t meet any team ranked better than eighth on the ladder in the final month of home and away competition.
Girgarre’s three minor grade senior teams all remain in the hunt for a spot in the finals, with B grade sitting sixth, C grade seventh (only outside the sixth on percentage) and C Reserve third - just one win off top spot.
While the Under 17 team sits outside of finals calculations, the Under 15 Kangaroos are sixth and two games clear inside the top six. At Under 13 level Girgarre is yet to be beaten in its eight games and is on track to repeat the success of last season.
