Jerilderie
A small group of committed golfers headed out on Wednesday for the monthly medal stroke (putts) event.
Winner was Julie Sleigh with a nett 74, r/u Denise Boland nett 76. Putting: Denise Boland 31. NTP: 7th Jenny McAllister; 16th Julie Sleigh.
Sunday was the first round of the Club Championships for both the men and the ladies. Leading the men after day one is David Hercus, and leading the ladies is Denise Boland.
The medley stroke competition played in conjunction on Sunday was won by Mick Pitt with a nett 73, r/u Shane Foster nett 74.
Ball comp: Lance Boardman, Campbell Rowan and Laurie Blackmore. NTP: 5th Campbell Rowan, 7th Luke Keating, 13th Lance Boardman, 15th David Hercus and 16th Margo Gregory.
The second round of the Club Championships for both men and ladies will be played on Sunday, April 13, third round Sunday, April 27 and the final round on Sunday, May 18, 10am for a 10.30 start.
Don't forget Good Friday Ambrose Golf at the Jerilderie Sports Club on April 18.
The entry fee is $100 per team of four players for 18 holes, and $60 per team for nine holes.
Entries open at the club on April 3. Barefoot Bowls is also being played on Good Friday at 10.30am. Entry fee is $30 for teams of three.

Friday's winner was Jake Dalgliesh (46-16.5-29.5), r/u Jeff Stein (41-11-30), Jeff also won the putting with 13. Ball winners Chris Kelly (40-6.5-33.5) and Steve Senini (44-9-35).
Saturday's winner was Joe Nicholls (44-8.5-35.5), r/u Beau Walliss (46-8-38), Chris Kelly won the putting with 13 and ball winner was Jeff Stein (49-11-38).
Sunday's winner was Chris Cameron (77-3-74), r/u Joe Nicholls (93-117-76)), Chris Cameron won the putting with 27 and ball winner was Alan Arnold (92-14-78).
Next weekend is the pairs' tournament, 11.30am for a 12-midday tee off.
Sunday is the Men's Open Tournament which will be 9.30am for a 10am tee off. All welcome, $30 per head which includes golf fees and lunch. All welcome.

In the Thursday 9-hole stableford competition, the winner was Ian Armer Jnr with 18 points. Ball comp: Grant Shaw and Matt Daniel 16.
The course was closed on Saturday due to the weather and the Men’s Championships was reduced to only three rounds.
On Sunday, the men and women both played the final rounds of the 2025 Club Championships.
