But while there are some impressive additions there are some notable departures.
The Murray Football League’s equal best-and-fairest winner this year, Moama’s Jack Russell, is the latest prize signing for the club.
Russell, a midfielder-on-baller, shared this season’s O’Dwyer Medal with Cobram’s Sam Beasley and captained Moama.
But star goal-kicking forward Anthony Depasquale is on the move, signing with reigning VFL premier Werribee.
He has though named Kyabram as his home club, so is likely to play some games with the Bombers.
Queensland ruckman Marcus Khoo, runner-up in the Bombers’ best-and-fairest this season is heading for Essendon and District league club East Keilor for an incentive Kyabram coach Corey Carver said the Bombers ‘‘just couldn’t match’’.
Tough midfielder Bailey Tome is also a departure, pursuing his bid to play AFL, lining up again with VFL side Northern Bullants and naming his home club as Bundoora which is coached by former Kyabram coach and Brisbane Lion Justin Sherman.
Carver’s off-season recruiting mission has been to bring former Kyabram players back to play with their home club.
Russell’s Moama teammates of this year Tom Holman, Jack Sheldon and Brad Edwards — all Kyabram premiership players — are returning along with Sean Dillon, a GVL reserves Abikhair medallist with the Bombers.
Edwards will be heavily involved in junior development.
Jarryd Pertzel is another Kyabram ex-player with senior experience to join the recruiting rush.
Russell joins another newcomer in Coby McCarthy as the second O’Dwyer medallist to join the Bombers.
McCarthy played all his junior football with Kyabram before switching to Tongala and then GVL club Mooroopna this year.
Other former Kyabram players returning are Mitch Gugliotti and Billy McLay from Tongala and Zac Cerrone and Sam Vick from Lancaster.
