The Taipans had a straight-sets win in the doubles. Squires beat Mahon, and Lane beat Shea, both in straight sets.
The Galahs, Sienna Bajada and Christian Squires, won 4-1 against the Kangas, Michelle Feldtmann and Patrick Cornell. Bajada beat Feldtmann in three sets. Squires had a four-set win against Cornell. The Kangas won the doubles in a tight five-set match. Squires came from two sets down to beat Feldtmann in five, and Bajada beat Cornell in four.
The Crocodiles, Gareth Burnell and Chris Goode, won 3-2 against the Plovers, Mick Kelly and Pauline Hooper. Kelly won a five-set match against Burnell. Goode won in straight sets against Hooper. The Crocodiles won the doubles in three sets. Kelly beat Goode in four sets, and Burnell won in three over Hooper.
The Owls, John Bajada and Wesley Shea, won 4-1 against the All Stars, Rob Erskine and Flynn Mosley. Bajada won in four against Erskine. Mosley won a five-set battle against Shea. The Owls won the doubles in four sets. Bajada had a straight-sets win over Mosley, and Shea won in five against Erskine.
B-Grade:
The Wombats, John Chiswell and John Spencer, beat the Mozzies, Brian Perry and Gavin Hunt, 4-1. Perry had a four-set win against Chiswell. Spencer won in four over Hunt. The Wombats won the doubles in four sets. Chiswell beat Hunt in three, and Spencer beat Perry in four sets.
The Frogs, Carol Perry and Elliot McCallum, beat the Bullants, Mehdi Zamani and Lois Hermiston, 3-2. Zamani beat Perry in three sets. McCallum won in four against Hermiston. The Frogs won the doubles in four sets. McCallum beat Zamani in four sets, and Hermiston had a three-set win over Perry.
Graeme Sharp and Daniel Wright, playing for the Joeys, beat Ray Grant and Andy Donaldson of the Rosellas, 3-2. Sharp won a tight four-set match against Grant. Wright won in three against Donaldson. The doubles went to five sets with the Joeys coming out on top. Grant won another five-set match against Wright, and Sharp won a straight-sets match against Donaldson.
The Numbats, Chris Seely and Laurence Donaldson, won 3-2 against the Cockies, Alejandro Diaz and Beth Grant. Diaz won a five-set battle with Seely. Grant won in four against Donaldson. The Numbats won the doubles in straight sets. Donaldson won a hard-fought five-set match against Diaz, and Seely won another five-setter against Grant.
C-Grade:
The Doves, Jack Erickson and Greg Cornell, won 4-1 against the Magpies, Kaye Grosser and Lily Kipping. Grosser beat Erickson in four sets. Cornell beat Kipping in three. The Doves had a straight-sets win in the doubles. Erickson won in three against Kipping, and Cornell beat Grosser in five sets.
The Falcons, Andrea Cathcart and Colin McFarlane, beat the Eagles, Andrew Morris and Saasha Silva, 3-2. Cathcart beat Morris in four sets. McFarlane won in four tight sets against Silva. The Eagles won an epic five-set doubles match. Cathcart had a straight-sets win over Silva before Morris won a five-set match against McFarlane.
The Crows, Christine Nicholas and Josh Kirley, won 4-1 against the Finches, Helen Hyland and Val Kipping. Nicholas emerged the winner in a five-set classic against Hyland. Kirley had a straight-sets win over Kipping. The Finches won the doubles in four sets. Kirley won in three against Hyland, and Nicholas beat Kipping, also in three sets.
