The footage shows a white sedan arriving at the Sidney Crt, Shepparton, address at 4.45pm on September 2, 2022.
Police believe a man — depicted in a computer-generated image released by detectives — exited the vehicle and attended the victim’s address.
The male is described as being of African appearance, about 178cm tall (5ft 10’), aged in his late teens to early 20s, of medium build, clean shaven and neatly dressed.
The vision also included the five men allegedly involved in the attack, who arrived at the Sidney Crt address shortly after 9.20pm, and then left after the incident.
Police are seeking anyone who recognises the vehicle or the man to come forward with information.
Two men in their 30s were assaulted and airlifted to hospital after the incident.
One of the men remains in hospital with limited function of his left leg, after receiving a life-threatening stab wound.
“This attack was pre-meditated and violent, leaving one male fighting for life and the other with serious head and upper body injuries,” Shepparton CIU Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Shortis said.
“My message to the offenders involved is clear: when you decide to engage in violence such as this, it doesn’t simply go away, and neither will we.
“The net is rapidly closing on you and it will only be a matter of time before we come knocking on your door — if you don’t hand yourself in first.”
