A 33-year-old Mooroopna man was arrested by NSW police in Albury, handed over to Victoria police in Cobram, and brought back to Shepparton on Tuesday, November 19.
The alleged home invasion happened in Community St at 5.15am on October 21.
Two occupants of the house were allegedly assaulted, with a 41-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Mooroopna man was interviewed by police on Wednesday, but was not charged in relation to the alleged home invasion.
However, he was charged with dangerous driving while being pursued by police, reckless conduct endangering life, failing to stop a vehicle on police direction, two counts of disqualified driving, and driving an unregistered vehicle in relation to police pursuit in Kialla on Monday, November 18, and an incident in Cobram on Tuesday, November 19.
He was remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court for the other matters.
The man is the fifth person to be arrested over the alleged home invasion.
Three people have been charged so far, with a fourth released pending further inquiries.
The three have not entered pleas to the charges they face and have all been remanded in custody.
