Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos said the dedication of clubs and committees within the region underscored the vibrant community spirit across the shire.
“The Australia Day Awards will be a highlight at these events, accompanied by traditional ceremonies like flag-raising and insightful presentations from a range of guest speakers such as past Australia Day award recipients, business leaders, community workers, and diverse individuals from various backgrounds.”
In addition to the traditional flag-raising and Australia Day award presentations, there will also be a barbecue breakfast, guest speakers, yabby races, kids’ fishing competitions, games and music.
This year’s council citizenship ceremony will be a standalone event on the eve of Australia Day in Echuca.
