Tongala Community Bank held its AGM and award ceremony earlier this month, on November 8, with awards for the Tongala Football Netball Club, Tongala Girl Guides and Embrace Church being handed out.

Altogether, $20,550 was given back to the community.

These awards have helped the community grow and bring in much-needed resources.

Gemma Brennan, who video-called in from her room at La Trobe University, talked about the advantages that she has received after receiving the Richard Herbert Bachelor Degree Scholarship for her studies.
