Gracie Allitt is said to have shown “both vulnerability and courage” when she chose to exhibit her art in the 2023 Dramatic Minds Festival.

It is an annual multimedia festival involving high school students, and is unique to the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
It promotes mental health knowledge and reduces the stigma of mental Illness.
With the theme of ‘Mental Health Awareness, Gracie submitted a piece of art called ‘Two Faced’.
The artwork depicts the faces of two girls with their phones, and includes a variety of colours and interesting patterns.
That entry earned Gracie a prize, and the accolades keep coming for the young artist.
She was named the recipient of Edward River Council’s 2024 Junior Arts & Culture Award last week.
“Gracie’s display of such a personal piece of work earned her the overall prize,” her citation read.
“Even more impressive – this was the first time an art entry won the prize.”
In being presented with the Australia Day award, Gracie was recognised for being a great representation for all the young artists in our community working hard to express themselves.
