Police believe two people stole a silver Toyota Corolla from a house in Wattle Dve, Numurkah, during an aggravated burglary on April 5.
Police said the car was later seen travelling north along McDonald St and turned on to Orchard St about 12.20pm on April 6.
The two males then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fence on the same street, before dumping the car and fleeing the scene on foot, police said.
Detectives have released CCTV of two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
One of the men was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black shorts and black runners.
The other was last seen wearing a black vest, a white long-sleeved top, black pants and black runners.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage, or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
