Tongala captain Kevin Maurizi elected to bat after winning the toss and set the tone with a four-boundary 18-run total before being removed by Ashton Nurse.
Tongala finished its 20 overs with 4-78, Lucas Pyke striking three boundaries in his run-a-ball 15 in the middle order.
Nurse, Alyssa Braithwaite, Braxton Davis and River Dunbar took a wicket for Stanhope, with Nurse also a star with the bat.
He came in at number three and struck two boundaries in his 17 (retired) total, the only double figure tally for his team.
