The Stanhope Community Market drew strong crowds on Sunday, April 6, with visitors browsing a diverse range of stalls on Birdwood Ave.
“Thank you to all our stallholders,” market committee member Glenda Cowie said.
“Without you, the market would not have been such a success.”
The event is the second under its new format ― where it moved from being a garage sale to a market.
Patrons enjoyed live music from Alia and a community-run barbecue while browsing stalls featuring garage sale items, moccasins, preserves, wooden chopping boards, plants, and arts and crafts.
Coffee was available from Upside Down Coffee On The Go and the local cafe, with the Stanhope Op Shop also open for visitors.
All proceeds from the market will support the Stanhope Food and Wine Festival in October, a celebration of the region’s best products.
The market runs on the first Sunday of each month from 8am to 1pm on Birdwood Ave, Stanhope.
