The Kyvalley Swimming Club is holding its first high tea on Friday, May 10 to celebrate Mother’s Day and fundraise for the Kyvalley park and pool.
Delicious sandwiches, sweet treats and, of course, tea, will be flowing from 10:30am on Friday in the Kyvalley Hall.
Kyvalley Swimming Club treasurer Debora Beale said the high tea was a fundraiser to keep the learners’ swimming pool operational for young local swimmers.
“The pool is important for our community because it keeps kids out of the streams — it’s a safer option for them,” she said.
Mrs Beale said they were excited to put on a high tea for the community and raise money at the same time.
“Whilst this is our first high tea, we local ladies are known for our catering,” Mrs Beale said.
“The function is not just for the ladies, although it would make a great early Mother’s Day gift.
“We are hoping both men and women, of all ages, come along for this special event.
“After all, everyone loves to be pampered and enjoy delicious home baked treats.”
Tickets are $20 and include a delicious high tea and a lucky door ticket that will give ticket holders a chance to win a prize in the raffle.
