A new member of Victoria Police has been touring towns around the state, and he recently came to Benalla to say hi.
Senior Constable Lisa Atkinson was with Sergeant Sensible on his visit to the Rose City and said he was an important member of the Proactive Policing Unit in the Goulburn Valley.
“Sergeant Sensible is based at Seymour, but will travel around the state to promote safety, break down barriers with young people and to dish out plenty of high fives,” Sen Const Atkinson said.
“Sergeant Sensible is always on the look for an opportunity to engage with our community.
“During Sergeant Sensible’s stay in Benalla, he’s caught up with Police Legatees, joined in the fun at the Emergency Services Expo in Jamieson and helped promote the Community Sentiment Survey.”
Before Sergeant Sensible heads off on his next adventure, he will be in the community promoting National Walk Safely to School Day on May 19.
Make sure you stop and say hi if you see Sergeant Sensible in Benalla.
