But she fears she may have helped her last.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Portsea's charity camps are in genuine danger of being discontinued.
The camp, located in the Mornington Peninsula, gathers its yearly funds by hiring itself out for school camps and events, but has spent the majority of 2020 with its doors forced closed.
The camp hosts five charity camps a year, which are designed to give disadvantaged and special needs children across Victoria a break and a chance to develop new skills.
Ms Weller said it would be devastating to see the kids go without next year.
“I’ve taken some kids down who have had terrible lives, and the positive responses you get from parents and schools after they get back makes it really rewarding,” she said.
“No revenue means no children’s camps. If we are to have camps for 2021 year, we have to get busy and get some fundraising started,” she said.
“My challenge is to all children that I have taken to camp over the years, is to ask you all to donate only $5 or $10 to help get the next group of children to experience this fantastic camp.”
