Deniliquin-based Chief Inspector Michael Fuller said police were generally pleased with crowd behaviour during the four-day police operation, running from Thursday to Sunday.
Local police numbers were bolstered by visiting police from across the state, with general duties, trail bike, mounted police, Operational Support Group (OSG) and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command officers providing support.
“The event attracted a significant crowd and traffic in and around Deniliquin,” Cheif Insp Fuller said.
“No major incidents were reported to police, and no significant traffic incidents occurred.
“For both the bump in on Thursday and the bump out on Sunday, there was a large amount of traffic entering and exiting the venue and around Deniliquin.
“The work of the organisers, volunteers and security staff supported by police and the good behaviour of the event patrons into and out of the venue resulted in some heavy traffic at times, but traffic flowed well, and event patrons got into and out of the venue without any major issues.
“Police congratulate the event team, volunteers, medical, security, and event patrons for all contributing to a safe and successful event for 2024.”
