Mr Barnes said he looked forward to joining the team and bringing out the best in everyone at the college.
“It is with great pride and excitement that I join Kyabram P-12 College as the new primary principal,” Mr Barnes said.
“I look forward to partnering with staff and parents to ensure all children are celebrated and supported.”
Mr Barnes said he would ensure he maintained the school’s tradition of excellence and community that made Kyabram P-12 College a special place.
“As an educator, I am driven by the individual success and growth of every student,” he said.
“I have devoted my career to educating, inspiring, and advocating for students, both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator.
“I am excited to bring my passion, enthusiasm, and experience to cultivate the unique educational programs that Kyabram P-12 College has to offer.
“Above all, I am excited to observe, listen, learn, and understand what makes Kyabram P-12 College thrive.”
Mr Barnes said at the heart of his practice was building strong relationships with the staff, students, and families.
“These relationships are further developed through the fantastic school and family events, which always have great community participation,” he said.
“Please be on the lookout for these upcoming events.”
He looks forward to making everyone feel welcome at the school and meeting everyone personally.
