The Kyabram Men’s Longest Lunch is returning for a day of food and entertainment for a good cause on Friday, February 28.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the lunch has raised over $150,000 at past events for men’s health awareness and funding for Kyabram District Hospital Service.
Funds go towards medical equipment and an employee that specialises in men’s health locally.
This year’s guest speaker is former AFL player Steven Baker, who played 203 games for St Kilda Football Club.
Mr Baker now runs the ‘Build Grit’ program, which aims to increase participants’ inner resilience, and will discuss mental health and his time playing football on the day.
Australian comedian and actor Dave O’Neil, who has appeared in TV shows like Fisk, The Project, and Spicks and Specks, will provide entertainment on the day.
Kyabram local Tim Nelson will be the master of ceremonies for the event, and auctions and raffles will round out the day, with quality prizes up for grabs.
Around 190 attendees are expected at the event this year, held at the Kyabram Football Netball Club’s Wilf Cox Pavilion on Friday, February 28 from noon to 4pm.
