The weather was iffy for parts of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Kids Festival, however, most of the kids participating did not seem to notice.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Information Centre Executive Officer Noel Wright said he must commend the businesses who stepped up and provided an offering toward another successful event in Yarrawonga Mulwala.
“There were plenty of activities enjoyed through the week including; plenty of rides at Tunzafun, golf at Black Bull, arts and crafts at Byramine Homestead and Bunnings, petting zoo and face painting at YMGCR, cleanse and connecting crystals at In Divine Time, cupcake and cookie decorating at The Sebel, Skillzone workshops at Yarrawonga College P-12 ECA Centre, Jungle City Dance Workshop and junior talent quest at ClubMulwala, theatre workshops at Uniting Church as well as NAIDOC week activities and rhyme and storytime at Yarrawonga Library.
“It is important to the success of our community, particularly in the cooler months, for businesses to be proactive in the pursuit of business.
“Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Information Centre work hard to provide the platform for this event and it is pleasing for us to see increased business participation.
“We would encourage all business to add something to the 2025 event so we can all achieve better social and economic outcomes for our communities wellbeing.”
ClubMulwala Marketing and Entertainment Co-ordinator Trish Storer said the ClubMulwala Junior Talent Quest, now in its fourth year, was again a great success, attracting a broad range of talents over the two days.
“For the first time, in this Quest we were treated to an Auslan signed song, as well as a short play and art presentation,” Ms Storer said.
“We also had a number of amazing solo and troupe dancers, some solo singers, an electric guitarist and a talented duo. It was an incredible display of talent.
“The entrants performed in front of an appreciative audience as well as a panel of judges made up of local entertainers and a dance teacher.
“The judges certainly had their work cut out for them deciding who to award the cash prizes in each age division, and they commended all the entrants on their desire to perform and gain experience.
“We love fostering young talent like this and hope to give continued opportunities for young people to perform and fine-tune their talents.
“The club loves being involved in the Kids Festival and it was great to see so many young families making use of the amazing array of school holiday activities on offer.”
