But these July school holidays, Campaspe Regional Libraries are ready, with staff hosting a full program of fun activities for children to enjoy.
Echuca library
July 1: Learn basic sewing skills and make your own cup warmer. Free craft activity for children aged seven and over. The session starts at 2pm. Bookings are essential.
July 2: Choose a game to play or build a wonderful Lego structure. Come along from 10am to 1pm and enjoy the free play. Open to all ages. No booking needed.
July 2: Family movie day at 2pm. Come along and enjoy a free move for the whole family. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Bookings are essential for everyone attending, including parents but excluding infants under 12 months.
July 3: Make an un-bear-lieveably cute decoration to display and play with. Free activity for children aged five and over. The session starts at 1.30pm, bookings are essential.
July 3: Enjoy pizza and games at the library. The session will run from 5.30pm to 7pm. Book at the front desk.
July 4: Use different coloured strands of yarn to weave ornaments, door hangers or gifts. Free craft activity for children aged five and over. Session starts at 2pm, bookings are essential.
July 5: Family movie day at 1pm. Come along and enjoy a free move for the whole family. Bring along your own drinks and nibbles. Bookings are essential for everyone attending, including parents but excluding infants under 12 months.
July 8: Celebrate and acknowledge NAIDOC Week and decorate an Indigenous designed serpent. Free craft activity for children aged five and over. Bookings are essential for the 2pm session.
July 9: Learn the technique called block printing and quickly embellish and personalise fabric. Bring your own old garment, pillow case or piece of fabric to try it out. Free craft activity for children aged five and over brought to you by 'A Fitting Connection'. Bookings for the 10am session are essential.
July 9: What can you make with some cardboard boxes and masking tape? Free craft activity for children aged five and over. Bookings are essential for the 2pm session.
July 10: Celebrate the Winter Blues Festival by painting your own guitar. Guitars cost $5 and can be taken home immediately or left at the library for display around town during the festival weekend. For children aged five and over. Sessions will be held at noon, 1.15pm, 2.30pm, 3.45pm and 5pm. Bookings are essential.
July 11: Join our visitor Rima, from India, to learn some beautiful Bollywood dance moves. Free activity for children aged five and over. Please book for the 2pm session.
July 12: Movie day at 2pm. Come along and enjoy a free movie with the whole family. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Bookings are essential for everyone attending, including parents but excluding infants under 12 months.
Rhyme time and story time session also run at the library. Bookings are not required for these sessions.
A toddler rhyme time session is on July 1 and July 8 at 10.30am.
Enjoy baby rhyme time on July 4 and July 11 at 11am.
Story time sessions will be held on July 5 and July 12 at 10.30am.
A family story time is also running on July 6 at 10.30am.

July 2: Decorate your own money box. Free craft activity for children aged five and over. Please book for all children participating. The session starts at 3.30pm.

July 10: A wooden clock kit is ready to be decorated, assembled and displayed. You will need to supply your own AA battery. Free activity for children aged five and over. Booking required for the 10am session.
Please note all activities are tailored for the ages listed. Younger children are welcome to colour while older siblings take part.
