That is the message that Escabags and CareSouth Deniliquin want presented to anyone experiencing domestic abuse.
Stacey Jane is a survivor of domestic violence and the founder and CEO of Escabags.
Her mission is to alleviate the immediate trauma of domestic abuse by providing free and affective access to ‘escape bags’ in communities.
This in turn connects victims with resources and agencies to continue their journey towards survivorship.
CareSouth Deniliquin is a local stockist of Escabags, providing single or family bags.
The future goal is to become a collection point for Escabags, and to continue to raise awareness of domestic violence through a series of community events.
Escabags and CareSouth share a vision for all to live in a world free from family abuse, and to feel safe and respected within their homes and community.
Items in the bag can include shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, combs, chamomile tea bags, pocket tissues, dummies, toothbrushes, face cloths, baby blankets, muslin wraps, soaps and toothpaste.
Until a local donation point is established, these and similar items can be donated to Escabags Ltd at Unit 29, 3-11 Waynote Place, Unanderra, NSW 2526.
To collect an Escabag from CareSouth Deniliquin, go to Shop 4/344 Cressy Street Deniliquin or phone (03) 58 818360 for more information.
