Young people in the Campaspe region are invited to enjoy thrilling films at the upcoming Halloween Movie Night event — if they dare.
The free event offers two eerie showings in a safe and supported environment in Lockington this spooky season.
Campaspe Shire Council’s Youth Development Team has designed the event in collaboration with the Lockington Youth Action Group to ensure young people have a memorable fun night out with friends.
Council’s acting CEO Michael Sharp said the Halloween Movie Night will be a wonderful opportunity for young people to come together in a fun, safe and inclusive space.
“This event is designed by young people, for young people, and we’re thrilled to support such an exciting community initiative,” he said.
The supervised event is open to all ages and will take place at the Lockington Community Centre, Shakespeare Cres on Saturday, October 26.
It will kick off with a showing of Monster Family (rated G, open to all ages) at 6pm, followed by Lights Out (rated M, viewers under-15 years old must be signed in by a guardian) at 8pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beanbags and blankets for a cosy viewing experience, with snacks and drinks available for purchase on-site.
