No matter what is happening in the world we can be assured that God is faithful.
Faithfulness is an essential attribute of God’s character. We have a God in whom we can express the utmost confidence because our God keeps His word.
We are told in Hebrews 10, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful” (Heb 10:23 NIV).
Even our own faith is based on His faithfulness. Hebrews 11:11 reads, “And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered Him faithful who had made the promise” (Heb 11:11 NIV).
God’s faithfulness produces faith in us. The fact that God is faithful means we can have faith in Him. This is the cycle which faithfulness produces.
God’s faithfulness will produce faith in us, which will then produce faithfulness in our lives. We are called to be faithful in many things.
The church affirms that one day we will all stand before Jesus. That day might come sooner than you think.
It is my prayer that we will hear these words, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.” (Matt 25:23 NIV).
In recent years if you have wandered away from the church, now is the time to come back to Him. If you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, then I urge you to come to Him today.
Come and join a loving community of faithful believers which is your local church.
Blessings.
