The much-anticipated Business of the Year Award made it a double for Kyabram’s Empire Signs Group.

Having taken out the Best Professional Service Business Award earlier in the night, the team was thrilled to be recognised with the highest honour.
Director Dale Coldwell said he was humbled by the award, a testament to the hard work put in by the group’s staff.
“This is massive for our business and it’s massive for our team,” he said.
“I am speechless.
“It’s the team, we all play our roles and we do a good job, that’s just what it is.”
Open to any business that had received an award, the crew members did not think they would take out the prize among so many other deserving winners.
“I had no idea that we would win this, it was a massive shock,” Mr Coldwell said.
“I almost fell off my chair.”
Empire Signs Group has strong connections to a range of companies around the area, particularly in Ky, where it has worked on projects with many local businesses.

These include the Kyabram Club, Kyabram Fauna Park, Ky West Pub, Brady Electrical and Kyabram’s Santa Cave.
Mr Coldwell was proud to represent Kyabram on the big stage.
“It’s huge,” he said.
“We are a town that is so small. To be able to do what we do in the town ... it’s just huge.
“We’re definitely happy to take this back to Kyabram.”
While the team specialises in all things signage, staff members will be applying their handiwork to show off their two new awards in the office.
“We were just saying, we definitely have to make a shelf,” Mr Coldwell said.
