Held at the Finley Showgrounds and Sporting Complex, gates will open at 5pm, with the action from 6pm.
Don’t miss an unforgettable evening of entertainment, with the chance to witness the regionally based McPhee Rodeo Company’s top-notch rodeo stock challenge skilled cowboys and cowgirls from across Australia.
The Finley Apex Club president Nathan Grimwood said there will be plenty on for visitors on top of the quality rodeo competition.
“There’ll be a bucking bull, kids' play area, food vendors, a grass area and a grandstand,” he said.
Outside of this, there will also be bar facilities, a barbecue, side shows, trade stalls with merchandise available and banked seating with room for picnic rugs and chairs.
In the arena, expect to see the usual thrills and spills of a rodeo and stunt and trick riders.
Ticket sales are now gathering momentum, and the organisers are expecting good support from the local community and visitors.
“Last year we had just over 3000 people.
“Online ticket sales have been down so far this year, but things are starting to pick up.”
Mr Grimwood said there will also be a special experience available for sponsors, with time still available for people and businesses keen to get involved.
“We’ve been fortunate to have and get really good feedback after last year’s event from our sponsors.
“So we’ve listened to that and this year we are including a VIP area.
“And there is still room for more sponsors, definitely.
“If anyone is interested, they can contact us by email at finleyapexclub@live.com.au.”
Proceeds from the Easter Sunday Finley Rodeo will go towards the Finley Apex Club projects.
Finley Apex was established in 1962, and its members have supported and continue to support a number of local community projects.
“These events spur us on to support community projects.
“We recently announced $5000 to Finley High School for their ag shed, and I transferred that money today.
“We also support local kids travelling for national sport, or if someone’s house burns down, we can provide assistance - among many other things.”
“100 per cent, it all goes back into the local community.”
