Coaches are currently replacing trains on the Seymour, Shepparton and Albury lines between Southern Cross and Seymour after a collision at the Beveridge Rd level crossing near Beveridge.
The Victorian Department of Transport and Planning said trains would continue to run between Seymour and Shepparton and Albury, with significant delays likely.
The department asked passengers to check station platform displays and the V/Line website, listen for announcements and allow extra time for their journey.
