This prestigious luncheon is set to take place at the Corowa Civic Bowls Club on Friday, March 8.
This year, the Inner Wheel Club is honoured to welcome Mary Hoodless, the esteemed coordinator of the Fischer Community Leadership Program, as the guest speaker.
Mary, who resides on her family farm in Jingellic with her husband, boasts a rich background that includes roles as a nurse, academic, and health sector manager, alongside running a consulting business that serves the not-for-profit sector and local government.
Mary embodies the spirit of leadership and dedication that the Inner Wheel Club aims to celebrate.
Attendees will enjoy a light lunch and a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival, with additional drinks available for purchase at bar prices.
Tickets are priced at $35 per person, and all profits from the event will be directed towards the Inner Wheel District A54 International Project, One Girl: Girls School Program in Sierra Leone, an initiative that supports educational opportunities for girls.
Inner Wheel Club of Corowa District President Chris Kent said this International Women’s Day luncheon not only offers a platform to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women but also supports a cause aimed at empowering young girls through education.
“I’m excited to invite everyone to our International Women’s Day Luncheon,” Ms Kent said.
“We’re lucky to have Mary speak at our event. Her background is impressive and inspiring.
“It will be a great day also with raffles and lucky door prizes. We are also excited to have Corowa High School students involved in serving food for our guests.
“This year, we’re focusing our efforts on the One Girl: Girls School Program in Sierra Leone. By joining us, you’re not just attending another event; you’re helping us support education for girls who desperately need it.”
