Tatura police Sergeant Darryl Phillips said a Holden Commodore travelling west on Toolamba-Rushworth Rd and a Ford Territory travelling south on Tatura-Murchison Rd collided about 4.50pm.
The high-speed impact pushed both vehicles off to the western side of the Tatura-Murchison Rd and into waterways.
The Commodore ended up in water in a ditch on the side of the road while the Territory was in a drainage channel.
