BMD Construction Pty Ltd has won a $21 million contract to construct stage one of the GV Link.
GV Link is a strategic enterprise park south of Mooroopna, expected to attract major commercial investment and generate long-term employment.
- Works will include a four-lot subdivision, essential service connections, and a roundabout upgrade at Toolamba and Simson Rds.
- The project is jointly funded by $9.6 million from the Federal Government and $14.4 million from Greater Shepparton City Council, supporting jobs and economic growth.

District councils have new chief executives.
Strathbogie Council has named Rachell Quattrocchi as its new boss, coming from Manningham Council in Melbourne’s east where she held the director of city services portfolio.
Benalla Rural City Council has also named its new CEO with Peter Keane, an experienced senior executive appointed for four years from 50 applicants for the position.
Up at Denilquin Nathan Holahan has been appointed the new corporate director for the Edward River Council, starting his new job in July.
He joins the council from Murray Irrigation where he has been secretary and general manager for the past five years.
These appointments follow Murray River Council recently announcing Echuca-Moama local Stacy Williams as its new CEO.

Restoration of the Old Goulburn River Bridge at Seymouir has been scrapped by Mitchell Council and a lot of people aren’t impressed.
The bridge, which dates back to 1862 is five minutes from the heart of Seymour and a lot of people believe it should be restored for its historical significance to the town and traffic flow over the years between Melbourne and Sydney.

Deniliquin has received an additional 15 paramedics to join its ambulance station, boosting its paramedic numbers to 25 to service the area.
And a move for Connected Universities Centres at Deni and Finley is still very much alive.
Alternate funding is now being sought to finance the project.

A petition against the proposal and sponsored by Nationals MP Melina Bath attracted 40,000 signatures from Victorians and became the largest e-petition in Victoian history.
The petition was presented to parliament on February 19.
