Tammy paraded her own red 10-month-old Holstein heifer, Hawthorn Glen Warrior Tequila. Tammy and her father, Colin Stone, milk 200 cows on their Katunga property. Tammy has been showing cattle since she was about six and has participated in four International Dairy Weeks. Time to put your feet (boots) up after a day of chasing cattle, cleaning the stalls and feeding the young ones. Britney Gavenlock, 6, from Tallygaroopna was pictured taking a rest at the Shepparton Show, with her calf, Vee. Britney is the daughter of Jess and Brad Gavenlock. Britney Gavenlock is a picture of concentration in the ring, and was rewarded with a ribbon at the Shepparton Show youth competition. Even the young heifers look pretty big when you’re six years old. Ava Fisher, the daughter of Bec and Jayke Fisher, was one very studious competitor in the under eight years handling class. She was rewarded with a ribbon. Ella Ferguson, 4, and Jep Ferguson, 6, were part of a multi-generational family effort supporting the youth handlers show at the Shepparton Show on Friday night. The two youngsters were showing Ayrshire heifers Connie and Maggie. Ella and Jep are the children of Taryn and Tim. Jackson Brierley was one of the Greater Shepparton Secondary College students participating in a handlers workshop prior to the Shepparton Show. A group of agriculture students from the college were given a chance to work with stock to sharpen their handling skills, prior to the Shepparton Show ring competition. Jackson went on to pick up a third placing in a led class and fourth in a handlers class in the Friday night youth show.
