With hundreds of children taking part, the tradition of going on the hunt for treats is now bigger than ever in the Echuca-Moama region.
Rachel Teller who was visiting the region this week and took her kids out to have a look said it was an exciting evening to be a part of.
“There are just so many great costumes and so many great kids all around,” she said.
“Everyone has been polite and nice and it’s been a really great evening for the kids. I’m glad that we were here in Echuca this week to be able to enjoy it with everyone.”
Justine Hennessy, who was one of the people who decorated her house, said Halloween has always been something she celebrated.
“I’ve always been into Halloween since I was little,” she said.
“My dad used to do it with me when I was young, and then I’ve always done it with my kids.
“There was heaps of kids this year. I wasn’t expecting that many kids out and about, so it was really good compared to last year.”
Although she enjoyed all of her decorations there was one in particular that was close to her heart.
“So my partner has never been into Halloween until he was forced to. He sort of got outnumbered and he made me some tombstones,” she said.
“So we actually had a little cemetery in our garden. Sounds very morbid, but I thought it was quite cool,” Ms Hennessy said.
