Victoria’s biggest Seniors Festival will return on Tuesday, October 1 and will run all month, offering a wide range of events and social activities for older residents across Greater Shepparton, as part of the statewide and local 2024 Seniors Festival Program.
This year’s theme is ‘Explore. Engage. Evolve’, and aims to encourage older Victorians to stay curious and connected.
Council’s community director Louise Mitchell, encouraged seniors to join the celebration and participate in the activities taking place during the festival.
“Council has worked with local organisations, groups and businesses to develop the Greater Shepparton Seniors Festival Event Guide,” she said.
“The Seniors Festival provides an opportunity for older members of the community to connect with each other, services, groups and organisations that will contribute to their positive health and wellbeing beyond the festival period.”
The Greater Shepparton Seniors Festival Guide can be found online at shepp.city/seniorsfest and a hard copy will be available to collect from council’s offices from Friday, September 27.
