We are probably now over watering our gardens during the latest hot spell, but there is no rest.
With the mornings and evenings drawing in, we will all be raking leaves before too long.
We held our annual meeting on Australia Day and the following were voted in as officers — president Steve Graham, vice-president Jan Griffiths, treasurer Barb Godden, secretary Marg Mason and committee members Marg Tucker, Melva Wright, Marg Wilson, Sandra Graham, Pat Wakefield, Margo Nankivell, Ken Pearce, Lorraine Polglaze, Julie Hollaway and Sharon Hopkins.
The club recently ventured out on a bus trip to the Numurkah area, visiting Broken Creek Flowers and The Olde Creamery, where we could purchase plants and preserves.
Both gardens sell flowers to local florists. Then, on to Numurkah for lunch.
Our next stop was Bloomin Tuff Nursery, where we could purchase many plants.

Despite the hot weather, our competition table was still full of blooms, plants, fruit and vegetables. As always, very competitive.

The floral art competition for March is an Easter bonnet, and we are looking forward to seeing all those flowering hats.
The lucky door prize went to Annette Perrella, and the raffle prize went to Kath Owen.
The next meeting is at Parklands Golf Club on Friday, March 22, with a surprise guest speaker. All welcome.
