President Allan Weeks said members of the public were welcome to come along for the daily open mic sessions conducted by husband-and-wife country music duo Rod and Rhonda Owen each afternoon from 2pm till 6pm.
“We’ve got a lot of talented entertainers on board, as well as some aspiring musicians who would like to gain experience singing in front of an audience,” Mr Weeks said.
“Local people are most welcome to come along and see what’s going on at the showgrounds.”
The festival officially starts on Wednesday and will build up to the main event, the Country Music Spectacular, on the weekend of November 11 and 12.
Caravans and motorhomes were due to start arriving at the showgrounds on Monday when the gates were opened for early arrivals.
“Many RVers like to come in a few days beforehand to set up camp and relax before the festival starts,” Mr Weeks said.
Headline acts this year include crowd favourites Owen Blundell, Don Costa, Sandie Dodd, Brian Letton and Kiara Rodrigues, with well-known country singer Evan Platschinda acting as MC.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday can be purchased at the gate. A full-day pass for Saturday is $45 and Sunday is $25. For those wanting to attend the Saturday night show only, entry is $25. Children 15 and under accompanied by a parent are free.
